Other actors now named for television production of ‘The Night Manager’…
Back in January I wrote about the forthcoming television adaptation of the John Le Carré novel, The Night Manager which is to start filming this Spring. A BBC production staring Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston it is set for a 2016 release. Earlier this week the rest of the cast was announced with the British actors Olivia Colman and Tom Hollander alongside Australian actress Elizabeth Debicki.
Fans of the genre will be interested to know that Debicki, who previously starred in The Great Gatsby is due to play a role in the forthcoming Man from U.N.C.L.E whilst Colman, an accomplished actress is well known on both sides of the Atlantic for her film and stage career. Having appeared alongside David Tennent in BBC America’s ‘Broadchurch’ she also appeared in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
The team have hired the Academy Award-winning director Susanne Bier and, as I wrote in the original article I have rather high hopes for this.

Fingers crossed for this one. For me at least the recent film adaptations of le Carre’s books have not quite been what they might have . . .

Erich,
Same here and I would agree with your sentiments. The television adaptatations seem more loyal to the original and usually better done. We live in hope!
